For over three decades, Family Advocates’ services and programs have helped our community’s most vulnerable rise above their trauma and create new beginnings.

Because of compassionate and generous donors like you who support our mission, hundreds of youth and families struggling with addiction, mental illness, abuse, neglect, and more have access to the critical resources they need for a brighter and healthier future.

While we have worked hard to grow and maximize our programs over the past three decades, our organization’s physical facility has been stretched beyond capacity. Operating out of a cramped and aging building in desperate need of renovations has created significant hurdles to providing the level of service youth, families, and our community deserve.

After an extensive two-year search and with the help of a generous $200,000 matching grant from United Way of La Porte County and a $25,000 matching grant from Health Foundation of La Porte, we are in the process of purchasing and updating a new 6,700-square-foot building!

Located at 1104 Indiana Avenue in La Porte, the new building will significantly improve and expand Family Advocates’ reach, service delivery, and programming, so that La Porte County's most vulnerable have the support they need to rise above trauma and create new beginnings.
